Christina Lake is a lake and a recreational area in the Boundary Country of the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. It is located on Crowsnest Highway (Highway 3), 20 km east of Grand Forks and 73 km southwest of Castlegar. The lake is named after Christina McDonald, the daughter of a fur-trader who ran a trading post at Fort Colville in the 1800s. Christina Lake is known for having the warmest water of any tree-lined lake in Western Canada, making it a popular destination for swimming, boating, fishing and water sports. The area also offers other attractions and activities, such as:

The Christina Lake Golf Course, a scenic course with black sand traps that was built on the site of the old ghost town of Cascade City.

The Trans Canada Trail and the historic Dewdney Trail and Kettle Valley Railroad Trail, which meet at Christina Lake and provide opportunities for hiking and biking.

The Welcome Centre, which includes the town’s visitor centre and an art gallery.

The Alpine Inn, a former summer resort hotel where Japanese people were relocated during World War II.

Christina Lake is a region that offers natural beauty, cultural diversity and outdoor adventure for travelers who want to enjoy a warm and relaxing lake experience.
